Nocatee Box Culvert Bridge is Simplified with Redi-Rock Headwalll
Watch Time: 1:35 min.
In this video, a box culvert bridge is installed in Nocatee. The project owners opted for Ledgestone textured Redi-Rock blocks for the headwalls.
These are 11-ft (3.35 m) gravity walls with 3 ft (0.91 m) buried below grade. Several different block types were used, including 72 in (1830 mm) XL Hollow Core. There were two courses of 41 in (1030 mm) Hollow Core and 28 in (710 mm) Positive Connection (PC) blocks. The final course consisted of a 41 in (1030 mm) Top block. To complete the wall, a cap was added to the top to give the wall an architectural finish.
